What Is Tea Tree Oil?

Tea tree Oil is a volatile essential oil, extract through steam distillation of twigs and leaves of tea tree, which has the botanical name Melaleuca alternifolia. The tea tree is native to Southeast Queensland and New South Wales, in Australia, which is why it is such a popular essential oil in that country. However, its impressive qualities have spread to other parts of the world, so it can now be found internationally.

Our oil is Australian Premium Tea tree Oil. INCI Name is Melaleuca Alternifolia. This is also called Australian Liquid Gold. 

It’s been widely used throughout Australia for at least the past 100 years and for over seven decades, it’s been documented in numerous medical studies for its ability to kill many strains of bacteria, viruses and fungi.

** Invigorating and antiseptic aromatherapy oil used in the treatment of colds and flu

Direction of Use:

After cleansing the skin, apply to the affected area using cotton wool or bud. Use neat, added to water for bathing or diluted with water or carrier oil. ( 1:2 for Skin = 5 drops in 10ml carrier oil )

 For inhalation, vaporisation and bathing, dilute up to 5 drops of oil in water. For massage, blend up to 5 drops of essential oil into 10ml of a Base oil, Almond oil is great for this. Tea Tree Oil also blends well with the majority of other essential oils, especially Eucalyptus and Citronella.

Main Uses :
Tea tree is a well-known oil for cleaning and protecting the skin, thanks to its highly effective antiseptic and antifungal effect. It is popular for use in treating skin problems, infections and for foot care.

In aromatherapy, tea tree oil is used to provide a purifying effect on the senses and helping to maintain healthy breathing. The anti-infectious, antiviral, bactericidal and fungicidal attributes of this versatile oil, work together to help alleviate the symptoms of respiratory problems such as coughs.

Blends Well with:
Cinnamon, clary sage, geranium, lemon, lavender, nutmeg and rosemary

 Main Constituents:

a-pinene, b-pinene, sabinene, myrcene, a-terpinene, limonene and cineole

Store in a cool, dry place away from sunlight.

Note: For external use only. Do not ingest. Extract from the Leaves and Twigs of the Melaleuca Alternifolia. Product is stable under normal conditions and when stored correctly in a cool dry area away from heat and sunlight.
